How to be me in the mornings...
I wake up at seven o'clock and lie in bed for ten minutes so that I have one 50 minutes to get ready for school.Once I get up out of bed I make my way to the toilet because I normally need to go in the mornings. Next I go and jump in the pleasant steamy shower and spend about 15 minutes just standing there, by the time I get out it is nearly half past and time to have breakfast. When I have my breakfast it is normally scrambled eggs on toast and cereal to fill me up. After that I get changed into my school uniform and do my hair and teeth. Finally I walk out the door and hop in the car to come to school.
I am a Year 8 student at Tauranga Intermediate School in New Zealand. I am in Rm42 and my teacher is Miss Campbell.

Story (hippopotamus)
The experienced man was getting ready for the crowd to come and see the famous dancing Hippo, but there was one little problem the hippo was stuck in his little grungy home, and would not even move. The guy tried everything like pushing, pulling and giving it some food. He would not move, all the hippo would do was sit there. The audience was starting to come but they couldn't see anything, they were all moaning and groaning and demanding refunds. The guy was getting so frustrated and he just grabbed a gun and shot it dead.

Heart Rate
Heart rate refers to how many times your heart beats a relaxes per minute. People's heart rates vary considerably depending on what they are doing, there levels of fitness, the medications they are on and their age.
Your resting heart rate for a twelve year old is 75-100 beats per minute. The maximum healthy heart rate you should have is 200 subtract your age, so 188 beats per minute for a twelve year old.
If you are 82 or something around there your heart rate will be around 72 beats per minute where as if you were 4 or 5years old your heart rate would be about 100-140 beats per minute. As you get older your mussels slow down so your heart rate wont be as fast.
To find your heart rate you put two fingers beside your neck or put your fingers on your wrist and time your heart rate for one minute.

Weekend Post
On Saturday morning the rain was poring down and it was freezing cold. Even though it was raining I was happy because that meant that I didn't need to go out and do jobs I could just stay cuddled up in my blanket on the couch. I ended up watching movies all day, I watched Mr Poppers Penguins, Ted and Tin Tin. On Sunday my mum had plained to go to Bayfair, you will find it hard to believe but I had not been to bayfair since I was like five years old. Unfortunately I ended up only getting one top for me and my brother got nothing. Overall I still enjoyed the day and it was better then watching movies at home.

Gravity
Important Discoveries.
Isaac Newton, an english mathematician and physicist, is considered the greatest scientists of all time. Among his many discoveries, his most important is probably his law of universal gravitation. In 1664 Newton figured out that gravity is the force that draws objects close to each other. It explained why things fall down and the planet moves around the sun.

Go Kart, Technolgy
In year six at Tauranga Primary School all of the us had to make a go kart either by our self or with a partner. I decided to go by myself because I would probably get it done faster on my own. I bought all of the equipment from Mitre Ten Mega. The go kart had to be suitable for kids of all ages, our aim was to make the go kart able to ride on the grass and concrete. When I was making it I was thinking of how comfortable it would be. It turned out that the set wasn't comfortable at all, so I ended up making some minor changes. In the end it was great.

Camp Blog Post
On Monday the 6th of May Rimu House made there way to Ngamuwahine Camp. The activities that we did were rock climbing, high ropes, rafting, biking, archery, can shooting, abseiling and paintball
I'm proud that I completed climbing up both of the rock walls in the rain. Believe it or not the water was freezing the temperature was 8 degrees. It made me laugh when we were playing spot light and Grace and I hid behind Mrs Mills and we ended up not getting found. The biggest challenge was trying to get a good time for the rafting but sadly we didn't our time was 8:54. The tastiest thing that I ate was the ice cream and the popcorn that got donated to us by Steffanie's mum. The most rewarding thing that happened was when we did the kayaking if we did the group challenge which was swimming to the other side of the river and pop our heads under the water and get a photo taken which we completed so we got a bonus point. Overall I really enjoyed camp and I wish that I could do that sort of stuff everyday.
