Physical activities and Outdoors (P2)
On Wednesday night at five o clock, all the kids that arrived at swimming didn't know that they had long distance swim. Only a couple of friends and I new so we were all well prepared. My coach Paul told us all when we were all in the water so that we couldn't pull out and go home. Everyone didn't want to do it so they hardly tried.
When I started my heart was pumping hard out I thought that I would forget to count or my goggles would leak. Once I was about half way there I thought that it wasn't hard but I was mistaken it was very hard. The temperature of the pool didn't help either it was really hot. My arms were starting to get weaker and weaker but then I remembered that I only had another 50meters to go.
Once I was done I was red in the face and puffing hard my time was about 20-25 minutes long which was very good because some kids didn't even make it.
A couple of weeks later I went and did a 2k swim which is 2000m which almost double of what I did at training. I found it easier because it was in a lake and the water we freezing and I had also set a goal time which was 35minutes and I came in at 33minutes so I completed that goal and got 9th overall out of the year eight girls.
Overall they were both great experiences and I look forward to doing more competitions like that.
Sorry that the picture is backwards took the picture from my computer :)

Complete A Sport For One Season
Compete in a sport for an entire season (P6)
I have now been doing swimming for two nearly three years. I swim at Tauranga Swimming club and I enjoy it heaps. I have gone from not knowing how to float to going to swim meets around the Bay Of Plenty, I am also hoping to go to a national meet in the near future.
I find swimming enjoyable and I also think it is a thing that every kid should know how to do because it protects us from drowning. I also think swimming is fun because I am quite good at it and I have got thousands of ribbons from swim meets. I exactly have 57 ribbons 13 certificates and 2 trophies.
Another sport that I have just finished is kiwi volleyball I really find it exciting and enjoyable because it is just for fun and it dosen't matter if you loose. I have also gotten way better at playing then I did at the start of the year.
I am going to aim to do more sport rather than swimming and fun volleyball. Something that I can represent the school in like soccer and basketball.

Physical Activities and Outdoors(P2)
On Sunday the 3 March I participated in a Swimming compition at Greerton pools and the school swimming Sports. It was a BOP meet so there were people from Taupo, Rotorua, Papamoa and Outimoti. The events that I did at the meet were...
50 Free (2 lengths) Time 32.42
100 Free (4 lengths) Time 1:14.71
100 Medley (fly, back, breast, free 1 length of each) Time 1:33.57
200 Free (8 lengths) Time 2:45.08
400 Free (16 lengths) Time 5:53.27
In the 400 freestyle it was my first time ever doing that race I found it a little bit challenging, but I have recently found out that I am better and passing myself and doing long distance rather than doing sprints and short distance events.
The 50 freestyle was one of the best races that I have had in ages, and I found it very fun because it was over and done with very quickly.
In the 100 Freestyle I found it really awesome because I was good heres a link http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151324076842616&set=vb.687882615&type=2&theater

We have recently voted for the house leaders then they got announced last week, they are Lautchlen and Jessica C, they are going to lead us all the way to the top. I am playing Kiwi Volleyball it is a really fun game because you dont need to be good and it dosen't matter wether you lose or not. I am really enjoying this year and it is going to loads of fun.
